Decay in Two Higgs Doublet Model

The rare K + → π + ν ¯ ν decay is investigated in the context of type II two-Higgs-doublet model (2HDM). By using the existing experimental data of the branching ratio, restrictions on the free parameters of the model m H , and tanβ are obtained: 0.7 ≤ tanβ ≤ 0.8, and 500GeV ≤ m H ≤ 700GeV .

Higgs decay width in multiscalar doublet models

We show that there are regions of parameter space in multiscalar doublet models where, in the first few hundred inverse femtobarns of data, the new charged and neutral scalars are not directly observable at the LHC and yet the Higgs decay rate to b b is changed significantly from its standard model value. For a light Higgs with a mass less than 140 GeV, this can cause a large change in the numb...

The decay H → γγ in Multi - Higgs doublet models

We study the dominant decays of the lightest Higgs boson in models with 2 and 3 Higgs doublets, for the case when its couplings to fermions are absent at tree-level. It is found that the branching ratio for the decay H → γγ is above the one into fermion pairs, which is evaluated also at the 1-loop level.

A $2\ell k$ Kernel for $\ell$-Component Order Connectivity

In the `-Component Order Connectivity problem (` ∈ N), we are given a graph G on n vertices, m edges and a non-negative integer k and asks whether there exists a set of vertices S ⊆ V (G) such that |S| ≤ k and the size of the largest connected component in G−S is at most `. In this paper, we give a kernel for `-Component Order Connectivity with at most 2`k vertices that takes nO(`) time for eve...

Plasticity in the mormyrid ELL

electrosensory lateral line lobe (ELL) of mormyrid electric fish. The mormyrid ELL is one member of a group of cerebellum-like sensory structures found in fish, amphibians and mammals (Fig. 1). These structures possess a molecular layer, an underlying sensory input layer and an intervening layer of large cells. The large cells have apical dendrites that receive input from parallel fibers, and b...
